Director Lee Seung-yeop leaves for the fourth time this year... Doosan loses, falls to fifth place

Doosan Bears manager Lee Seung-yeop was eventually sent off after protesting the video review results.

Manager Lee Seung-yeop was sent off in the bottom of the fifth inning against the Kiwoom Heroes of the 2024 Shinhan Sol Bank KBO League at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 10th. 토토사이트

The situation was like this. In the bottom of the fifth inning when Doosan was trailing 0-4, Bae Sang-kwon hit an infield grounder with one out and third base. Pitcher Lee Young-ha caught the ball and threw it to the first base, but the ball was high. While first baseman Yang Seok-hwan failed to catch the ball, third baseman Choi Joo-hwan homered.

Doosan then judged that the batter, Bae Sang-kwon, ran inside the three-foot line, and proceeded with the video review. However, the referee acknowledged it as a normal play.

Then, Lee ran out of the dugout and filed a complaint with the judges. In accordance with the regulation that if a video referee complains, he will be dismissed.

A Doosan official explained, "Coach Lee Seung-yeop appealed to the three-foot line-related defense obstruction at the bottom of the fifth inning, saying, 'Two opposing runners came inside, and the first baseman was affected by the catch."

Earlier, head coach Lee Seung-yeop was ordered to leave the game against the Samsung Lions in Jamsil on July 12 after protesting the results of the video review, following his two consecutive exits against the Changwon NC Dinos on June 4 and 5.
